Mr. Satyananda Mishra, a career civil servant and member of the IAS, has more than 4 decades of experience in Public Service. He has held various important positions in the Government of Madhya Pradesh, such as, Principal Secretary of Departments of Public Works, Revenue and Housing and Environment. He also held the positions of Development Commissioner of Small Scale Industries, Establishment Officer and Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training in the Government of India before he retired in September 2008.
Mr. Mishra was the Chief Information Commissioner of India (December 2010 to September 2013). After retirement from public service, he also served as the Chairman of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) of India and as an Independent Director on the Board of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
Currently, he is an Independent Director on the Board of Invesco Trustee Private Limited, UGRO Capital Limited and SME Mavens Foundation and is associated with National Foundation of India as a Trustee, New Delhi and the Reva University, Bangalore as a Member of its Board of Governors.
Mr. Seth is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Post Graduate Diploma in Bank Management and has over 40 years of experience in finance & banking, management & administrative matters. He has headed Institutions like Syndicate Bank (as Chairman and Managing Director) and SIDBI (as Deputy Managing Director). He has also served as Independent Director of State Bank of India, Central Board, where he headed several committees of the Board. He was appointed as Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission for a period of 5 years.

Member - Auditing and Assurance Standards, Board Member - High Level Steering Committee constituted by the Reserve Bank of India to review Supervisory Processes for Commercial Banks. Chairman - Committee constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India to review the system/procedures/extant guidelines on internal and concurrent audit in Public Sector Banks. Member - Corporate Debt Restructuring Standing Forum.
Ms. Sangeeta Sharma is a career banker with over 35 years of financial sector experience. At the Export Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), and during her versatile tenor, she headed various departments such as the Internal Audit Group, Stressed Assets Group, Corporate Debt Restructuring Group, Textile Cell, Human Resources Group, Western Regional Office. She has widespread expertise in project exports, treasury and accounts, corporate banking, project finance and international investment finance. She received the Woman Leader in Banking Award in 2019.
Ms. Sharma is an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of many companies, besides being member and Chairperson of various Committees of the Board. She has been on the Boards of companies in a cross section of industries. She is also a qualified assessor for Confederation of Indian Industry CII-Exim Bank Award for Business Excellence, which is instituted with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of companies.
Besides this, Ms. Sharma has also been a core member of Global Network of Exim Banks and Development Finance Institutions (Geneva, Switzerland - under the aegis of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development). She has been a speaker at various seminars (CII, FEIO, NIBM, G-NEXID), member of the Editorial Board of `Eximius’ (an in-house magazine of Exim Bank). Ms. Sharma has also been a Lecturer of Economics at the University of Mumbai.
She holds a post graduate degree in Economics, a post graduate diploma in Financial Management and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. Ms. Sharma has been a part of leadership programs at Stanford Business School, USA; IIM – Ahmedabad and International Banking Summer School in Hong Kong.
Her areas of interest include international project finance, human resource management, resolution and reconstruction of special situations accounts, developmental economics.
Mr. Sandip Ghose holds a master’s degree in History (M.A.) and is an alumnus of Anderson School of Management UCLA, and Columbia Business School, among others. Sandip Ghose is also the former Director of the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), an educational initiative of SEBI. He has overseen the school of regulatory and supervisory studies which acts as a staff college for SEBI officers.
Mr. Ghose has vast experience and knowledge of the financial sector. Prior to taking over as a Director of NISM, Mr. Ghose was the Head of Human Resources in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
As a central banker by profession, Mr. Ghose was the Advisor to three successive RBI Governors - Dr. C. Rangarajan, Dr. Bimal Jalan, and Dr. Y.V. Reddy over a period of nine years. During his career, Mr. Ghose has received several prestigious awards including an Honorary Doctoral Degree by the EIILM University, Sikkim.
Suhas Tuljapurkar is a lawyer with over 37 years of experience. As a member of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, Suhas is authorised to practice law in India. Suhas acts as an independent advisor to various companies, governments, trade associations, professionals, celebrities, non-profit entities and start-ups. His main area of expertise is Governance, Risk, Assurance, Compliance, Ethics (GRACE) with a fusion of information technology. Suhas is passionate about legal innovation, legal technologies, application of Game Theory to complex legal problems and de-mystifying the laws.
After a successful career as an in-house counsel and law firm partner, in 2006 Suhas founded Legasis Services, India's first legal tech enterprise. At Legasis, Suhas has been instrumental in developing various IT enabled legal support solutions such as Legatrix (Compliance Management Solution) StarBoards (Board of Directors’ Evaluation Software), LIPs (IPR management solution), the Flute (Innovation Capture Solution), CARRAR (Contract Management Solution), Roznama (Litigation Management Solution), and LegRoom (Virtual Dataroom Solution).
As a member of the Executive Committee of UN Global Compact Network India, Suhas was instrumental in developing innovative solutions comprising of Public Private Partnership framework for ensuring statutory compliance and for ensuring transparency in procurement process in Smart Cities. Suhas, in his capacity as the advisor to the Digital Crime Unit of the State of Maharashtra, developed IT enabled, knowledge driven content and workflows for initiating criminal actions against infringing websites. He has been periodically called upon by the governments to provide expertise in drafting various legislations.
Suhas has successfully handled various global assignments such as international commercial arbitrations, multi-lateral agencies sanctioned proceedings, global collaborations and complex legal projects.
Suhas is a National School Residential Scholar and has received many scholarships, awards and recognitions including the Udyog Ratan Award. He is a blogger, a regular contributor to legal journals and is an acclaimed speaker.
Shri Satya Ranjan Prasad is a senior professional with 40 years of experience in various fields, including Judiciary, Insolvency, Company Matters, Merger and Acquisition/Amalgamation, Financial/Banking Sector, Pension Sector, Capital Markets, and associated intermediaries. His expertise extends to Stock Exchanges, Capital Issues (debt and equity), Mutual Funds, Venture Capital Funds, Investments, Foreign Institutional Investors, Merchant Banking, Portfolio Management, Inspection, Investigations, Inquiry, and Policy and Regulation Formulation.
He has held senior positions with various regulators both within India and abroad, such as Technical Member at the NCLT, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India; Executive Director at the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), with additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of NPS Trust; Chief General Manager and Regional Director at the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for more than two decades; and Financial Advisor at the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), Abu Dhabi. Shri Prasad has also spent about eight years in a Nationalised Commercial Bank in India.
His educational qualifications include a B.Sc., M.A., M.B.A. (Finance), CAIIB, LL.B., and a short training/course on Capital Markets from the City University of New York, U.S.A.
Mr. Kaushal Sampat is a distinguished finance professional with over 20 years of expertise in the Banking and Financial Services industry. His extensive experience spans International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) Unit operations, corporate banking relationship management, transaction banking, and credit risk analysis.
Prior to joining IIDI, Mr. Sampat held leadership roles at prominent financial institutions, including ING Vysya Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and IndusInd Bank, where he successfully managed complex portfolios and delivered strategic growth.
A Bachelor of Commerce graduate with an MBA in Finance, Mr. Sampat combines strong academic credentials with a proven track record of operational excellence and client-focused leadership.
Since his appointment as Managing Director & CEO of IIDI in March 2022, Mr. Sampat has been instrumental in steering the organization’s mission to establish itself as a premier global securities and bullion depository, fostering innovation, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Mr. Hari K is the Business Head at NSE, responsible for business development in equities and equities derivatives segment, fixed income & debt markets, currency and commodities, mutual fund and Listing. He also oversees business development activities of NSE IFSC & NSE Academy. He is also responsible for new products and member services function at NSE. He is associated with NSE since 1995 handling various functions like Trading-Capital Market, Debt segment and Futures & Options segment, Clearing & Settlement, Membership & Member Service Management, Listing, SME, Corporate Communications and Business Development.
Ramkumar K, is a graduate in Physics from Bombay University (now Mumbai University). He is also holds a Masters degree in Financial Management from Mumbai University and is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII).
He has been in the employment of Central Depository Serviced (India) Limited [CDSL] since September 2000. In these years in CDSL he has been working in various roles and responsibilities across various departments viz. Operations, Training, Admission, Audit, Inspection and Compliance, Business Development and New Projects. There have been quite a few new projects or new initiatives launched or incubated during his tenure of handling New Projects.
Mr. Samar Banwat joined National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) in October 1996 and at present he is serving as Executive Director of NSDL. He has close to 25 years of experience in the financial markets and has all round experience in the depository business including strategy, operations, and business development. He was instrumental in developing innovative products to meet the growing needs of the market participants. He is also experienced in driving product, process and customer service improvements while building partnership with key business decision makers. By qualification, he is a Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant and had also qualified as a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
Mr. Shivanshu Mehta holds the key portfolio of the precious metals business as Head-Bullion at India’s largest commodity Exchange, MCX which commands the lion’s share of the bullion derivatives market.
He has over 21 years of experience in both physical and financial commodity markets, specifically in non-ferrous and precious metals.
He started his career, being hand-picked to the Aditya Birla Group’s Group Management Trainee Scheme (batch of 2000). In this commodity conglomerate, he spent six years including cross-functional exposure in cement, sponge iron, viscose staple fibre, carbon black and base metals industry. He has worked with world leader Grasim Industries Ltd. as Product Manager in Viscose Staple Fibre division of the company.
His journey with base metals started with Hindalco-which is a global name in non-ferrous metals; where he worked with both Copper and Aluminium divisions in product management and strategic roles. His classified work on the secondary Copper market of India (2002) proved to be a benchmark for strategy formulation. He launched Hindalco’s foray into branded Aluminium roofing sheets across India in 2003.
Over the years, he has enriched market space with new and innovative products. To the recent credit is the successful launch of the world’s first-ever deliverable one-gram gold contract- Gold Petal futures in 2019, which has proven to be a record success and has helped strengthen gold as an asset class.
The MCX bullion team is credited with the product design and launch of India’s first-ever Gold and Silver Options contracts in 2017 and 2018 respectively, that have since been running successfully.
Under his leadership, MCX Bullion team has designed the good delivery norms and running the system of audits to enable locally refined gold to be delivered at MCX for the first time in 2020-21. This initiative for the benefit of industry at large has seen significant successful deliveries of gold.
Before MCX, he has also led the Base Metals team at NCDEX in the year 2006.
He is recognized for his avid oratory skills and his strong relationships with the metals, bullion and jewellery industry as also with the financial fraternity.
He has been part of various Govt. and Regulatory working groups that have dealt with the development of the Gold Industry, including groups set-up by the Ministry of Finance, Niti Aayog and SEBI.
He is currently on the Boards of the India International Bullion Holding IFSC Ltd. (IIBH) and the India International Bullion Exchange IFSC Ltd. (IIBX).
Sriram Krishnan is currently the Head of Business Development for the National Stock Exchange of India, which is India’s premier stock exchange.
Sriram has over 26 years of work experience, a large part of which has been in the Indian capital markets space, across Asset Management and Securities Services. Sriram’s experience is varied across Sales, Client Relationships, Products, Operations and Finance through his stints across global organisations such as Franklin Templeton, HSBC, Citibank and Deutsche Bank. In his previous roles, Sriram has had an opportunity to work closely with both domestic and foreign investors, issuers, market infrastructures and intermediaries and also make meaningful contributions in various regulatory forums and industry working groups.
Sriram is a qualified chartered and cost accountant from India and also holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
Amit Mahajan is the Chief Technology Officer at Central Depository Services (India) Ltd (CDSL), India’s only listed depository and is responsible for ensuring seamless integration and information flow across the CDSL ecosystem.
Since joining CDSL in 2019, Amit has overseen all areas of IT, from software development and infrastructure services to cybersecurity, compliance, and new technology implementation. Under his leadership, CDSL has made significant strides in streamlining its technology footprint, which has resulted in considerable increase in operational efficiency.
Mr. Amit Mahajan is a technocrat with sound business acumen, his area of interest includes web technologies, IT Security, Deep learning, e-Commerce, and mobile applications. Mr. Amit Mahajan has over 2 decades of experience in management of IT application project portfolios across stock exchanges, depositories, eCommerce, telecom, and retail sectors.
Amongst other accolades, most recently he has been named amongst the top 100 CTOs of India by Start-up Lanes an ecosystem for start-ups, in its report published in April 2022.
Mr. Mayank Jain is currently Manager and Chief Financial Officer of the India International Exchange (IFSC) Limited. He is associated with the Exchange Since April 2017.
He has more than 8 years of Experience in area of Finance, accounting, treasury.
He has previously worked at Tata Communication Limited and BSE Limited.
He holds a Bachelors in Commerce degree from Vikram University of Ujjain. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant as well as a qualified Company Secretary
Prashant Pramod Vagal is the executive vice president and Chief Business Officer of NSDL. He has been associated with NSDL since January 1, 1997.
He is responsible for business development, product development and enhancement, and various product marketing activities for the depository participant business.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical branch) from V. J. Technical Institute, University of Bombay and a master’s degree in management studies from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and Research and Entrepreneurship Education, University of Mumbai.
He has over 28 years of experience in business operations. Prior to joining NSDL, he was associated with Special Steels Limited and CIFCO Finance Limited.
Vinay Madan is a Seasoned Risk Management Professional having 20+ years of experience in Risk Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, Management of Operational and Fraud Risks, IT and Cyber Security Risks, Credit Risks, Regulatory Risks, Market Risks and Liquidity Risks.
He has held Senior Management positions covering various business lines including Corporate and Investment Banking, Retail and Business Banking, Wealth Management, Mutual Funds, Custodian Services, Retail and Institutional Brokerage, NBFC, Global Captive Centres, Market Infrastructure Institution and Credit Card Business.
A Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he started his post qualification journey with KPMG Risk Advisory where he assisted clients across the globe and industry sectors in the areas of business process improvement, enterprise risk management, internal audit, internal controls frameworks and change enablement.
He has then worked with various financial services majors like American Express, Barclays and BNP Paribas Group. Presently he is working as the Chief Risk Officer for CDSL
Vinay has also completed a certification course on Artificial Intelligence for Leaders from National University of Singapore.
Ms. Krishna Gangopadhyay is a management professional with more than 25 years of experience across diverse sectors including capital markets, banking & financial services and telecom. Her career spans leadership roles in premier institutions where she has driven high-impact initiatives in strategy, analytics, risk management and business development.
Ms. Gangopadhyay has been involved with GIFT IFSC since 2016 and played a key role in setting up India International Exchange in 2017 and led its Strategy, International Relations and Listings. She was the MD & CEO of AFRINEX Limited, a pan-African exchange in Mauritius and a key member in establishment of AFRINEX and AFRINEX Clearing House Ltd in 2021. Ms. Gangopadhyay has also held key positions at BSE India, CRISIL, HSBC, Kearney across variety of roles and geographies.
